No Life Without A Play

No Life Without A Play

What’s anybody really doing, the Prophet ask;
Where would we be without meaningful task?
And the mindless scenarios, of purpose to tend;
To feel useful and loved, to receive and send.

Evoke common promise to the God in your life;
To feel use’d up, yet take pleasure in the strife.
Being with other’s of like mind…worry free;
Why don’t you just be yourself, and I’ll just be me!

Oh the patterns of conflict, amusement to idle minds;
They’re only happy, when your misery red lines…
And do you ever wonder, what people who help others would ponder;
If the Homeless and the Poor, disappeared in the yonder?

And the Radical Religions, just hugged and shook hands;
They became free-spirited and shared in their lands?
What would Intelligence and the Military think;
If all the Druggies and Thuggies tossed themselves in the drink?

And Social Workers sat idle, Food Stamps unused;
Where are the needy, where are the accused?
It’s almost as if, all reasoning went insane;
Even Traffic Officer argue, everyone’s in their lane!

No tickets, no revenue, they could tax the air we breath;
We must grow Government, it’s all they can perceive.
Is this backing down, doesn't anyone have a need;
A good Society, is only balanced by violence and greed?

And so, Utopia is sought, but it’s still not enough;
The bored will get restless and really make things ruff…
We write the script as it happens, yet still want it our way;
We’re just Actor’s on the stage, there’s No Life Without A Play!
